Sometimes I think I am the only one who is not on Facebook. Reading play by play of the mundane details of dozen of peoples lives is way too boring for someone as self centered as myself. I am not some kind of weirdo who's not gotten with the times. I go more and see more in a week than most people do in a month.. Weighing life down with dozen of people's events would only slow me down. Facebook would add nothing to my life. It's void, boring and sometimes a infuriating time suck so I'm better off without it. Besides there are so few not on Facebook that it makes me kind of cool. Being a non-Facebooker sets me apart but everyone who knows me, knows I have always marched to a different drummer. The only real reason for anyone being on Facebook is because they are not creative enough to create a real web page and they are certainly not creative enough to fill it with entertaining and enlightened content on a consistent basis. For these people it's a no brainer, their face has a place for it's name.
Blogs are much more to my liking. They are less diluted and much more of a creative window into the author's mind. Choosing to be nameless in the Land of Facebook does not mean my presents is void in the world of cyber space, to the contrary. I've been a blogger since 2004, well before the World of Facebook was ever conceived. So I was cool way before the 900 million faces currently that reside in the Land of Facebook. I guess I should not put all of those 900 million in the same basket, Surly there are a few cool faces in that group of 900 million but that's only because they have loaded up the moving van and left the Land of Facebook.
I enjoy your blog !!! : )
