Two Gals

If I were a betting man, I'd say "Hillary Clinton becoming the next President of the United States of America is a lock".  Sure wished I had the same gut feeling about another Democratic female winning the Texas governorship.  Windy Davis's chances of winning the Texas governorship is a long-shot at best.
The Texas Democratic Party deserves a lot of praise  for running an all female ticket for the Governorship and  Lt Governor.  Personally I've never met Windy Davis the gubernatorial candidate but I have met Lelicia Van de Putte the Lt Governor candidate.  After attending a conference where Mrs Van de Putte was the main speaker I would rather the Democratic ticket be reversed with Lelicia running for Governor and Windy running for Lt Governor.  Both are very capable but if a female is going to win the Texas governorship in today's political atmosphere it will be a Hispanic female from San Antonio not a white blond headed female from Fort Worth.
Diversity in government is incredibly important.  After 14 years of Rick Perry, it's time for a change in more ways than one.  The Republican candidate for governor  Greg Abbott  is the State's current Attorney General.. If you think cronyism  under Perry was bad just wait until a lawyer is in control of the governorship, it will be like a good old boy run a muck in the courthouse.  As far as the half dozen Republicans aiming  for the Lt Governor's job, lets just say may the best clown win.
The story of Two Gals is a fairy tale but sometimes fairy tails come true.  It's time for a different prospective in leadership which in turn will create a better governorship for all Texas citizens not just the privileged few.
Today, Friday February 28th was the last day of early voting.  Hope you were like myself, voted and placed a I voted sticker on your shirt.
