Longhorn Football

     A new Longhorn football  season begins in less than a month..  I'll be in front of the television rooting for my favorite team.  The University of Texas prides itself as having premier sports facilities with the football stadium being at the top of the list.  But the biggest and baddest never seems to be good enough. Texas boosters cut some huge checks and the powers to be at Texas sure know how to spend it.  On the drawing board and soon to start construction is a $140 million dollar renovation of the south end zone.  The south end of the stadium will be enclosed with new seating, luxury boxes, coaches offices and special parking.  Along with the $140 million construction project will be a $10 million renovation of the area under the north zone The food court and student area will be removed in this 30,000 square foot area and replaced with something called the Longhorn Hall of Honor.  Will this $150 million dollar expenditure make the team score more touchdowns, probably not but the Longhorn fans will be happy and that will keep the stands full.
