No Wall For You

     The world's savviest deal maker couldn't pull it off, no wall for you Trump.  The President held America hostage for over a month but in the end he did not get his 5.7 billion dollar ransom.  The only thing he gained was the knowledge he should not mess with House speaker Nancy Pelosi.  She would not even let him deliver the State of the Union address much less  5.7 billion for a wall. 
     Like Trump always does, he tried to spin his defeat into a victory  by saying his shut down of the American government brought the Democrats to the bargaining  table.  The Democrats are willing to give the President lots of money for drug detection technology,  enhanced port of entry security and a few other things but no wall money.  The Democrats have the votes to block anything that funds Trumps' wall.  The likelihood an agreement that Trump will sign  into law is not very good.  We will have to wait a few weeks to see what the President does next.  Will he shut down the government again?  If he does it would be political suicide.  His only other choice  to get his 5.7 billion dollar wall is to declare a National Emergency which he will probably do.
