Next week the Democratic presidential candidates will debate for a second time. Before the first debate, Biden was riding high in the polls. It looked like no one was really going to give him a run for his money but things have changed since the first debate. There seems to be a top tier of about a three or four candidates who are in reach of Biden. Voters have become aware of what other candidates have to offer causing Biden's poll numbers to shrink. I always knew the race would be an evolution but it's still a race as to who can beat Trump. Electability isn't the only thing it takes to get to the finish line, the ability to raise vast sums of money is just as important. With most of that money going to Biden, Harris, Sanders, Warren and Buttigieg, it's really pick your poison. Biden, I still don't think he has the stomach for a presidential run. Wise and over the hill but he may be the best shot at beating Trump. Warren and Sanders are almost too liberal for myself. If either were elected, every well to do democrat would take a bath in the stock market including myself. That fact alone will probably keep them out of the White House and make me think long and hard before supporting either. Harris, there is something about her I don't trust. Don't know what it is but I just get a bad feeling about her. I think she can raise the needed money but I don't think she is electable. Buttigieg, plain and simple America's is not going to put a Queen in the White House. I've left out a few of the candidates who are long shots but long shots sometimes finish first. In this case I really don't think anyone has to worry about that.
The first democratic debate did not help me a bit and I'll probably feel the same after the second debate. As much as I hate to say it, Trump's re election looks more possible every day. Don't get me wrong, there is no way I'll vote for Trump. I may have to hold my nose, but I'll vote democratic no matter what.
