Peach Cobbler
Tomorrow is the Fourth of July. There is no better time to bake a peach cobbler than the Fourth of July holiday. Cobbler of any kind is a great way to savor the summer. Peaches are harvested between June and August but for this cobbler I'll be using canned peaches. This cobbler is not a fancy one, only three simple ingredients. Sounds too good to be true but its simplicity is what makes it so good. All you need is a box of yellow cake mix, a stick of butter and two cans of peaches. I prefer no sugar added juice packed peaches because the cake mix by itself is sweet enough for me but if you like it sweeter you can use the peaches packed in syrup. Dump the peaches, juice and all into a greased pan and if you want to be a little creative sprinkle cinnamon on the peaches but I like a pure peach cobbler so I leave out the cinnamon. Next dump in the yellow cake mix. You don't need to stir the cake mix and the peaches together just level out the cake mixture. Next put pads of butter all over the top of the cake mixture. Put the cobbler in a preheated 375 degree oven and bake for 45-50 minutes. How did my peach cobbler turn out. If you want to know how my peach cobbler turned out you can check it out late tomorrow evening on LAYWELL FRONT PAGE .
