The Power Of The Pen

     The President's poll numbers are looking real bad.  When this happens he assembles the press in an attempt to spin bad news into what he thinks is good news.  The only problem with his plan is that the press has copped to his BS so it's surprising that they even show up anymore for the President's spin jobs.   These days it's getting harder and harder for the President to fill the room for his spin jobs.
     At first it was all about the border wall, the government shut down and finally  Covid 19  all of which the press could not get enough of.  Now the word is out, the President is full of shit so no one wants to attend his press conferences.    Last week the President wanted to talk about his payroll tax suspension and several other policies he thinks can assure his victory in the November election so he assembled a friendly audience  at one of his golf clubs.  Some in the extremely small audience looked like they had just been pulled off the golf course while others looked as though they were at happy hour when the President's staff  had gathered them up so they could listen to the President.  The fee to join this particular  Country Club is $350,000, do you really believe any of them give a shit about a payroll tax suspension or the $400 the President wants to add to the weekly unemployment checks?  The golfers were probably there because they were promised one of the sharpies the President would use to sign the executive orders.  All this is just what Trump does, all a big show and not much anything else.
